The intent from a customer viewpoint is to be able to understand the threats, attack vectors and compare that against their configuration to show how they are mitigating risks, bringing an ROI to the board, CEO, leadership and telling the story how they are enabling the business or ogranization to accomplish their mission against what cybersecurity is doing to bring value.
